Choosing from a pool of outstanding applicants was no easy task—congratulations, Matthew!
Melbourne Youth Chorale (MYC) is proud to support the next generation of musical leaders through its Junior Conducting Program. This initiative equips young musicians with essential conducting skills, nurtures their passion for music, and helps them grow as leaders. Participants receive mentorship, guidance, and hands-on experience, all within a supportive community that values their development. Through this program, MYC aims to foster a lasting appreciation for choral music while empowering young conductors to take on active roles within the organization.
As MYC continues to expand, we anticipate exciting opportunities for new choirs, providing Junior Conductors with diverse experiences in leadership and musical direction. This program not only builds conducting skills but also strengthens key abilities such as communication, collaboration, and decision-making—qualities that will benefit participants in all areas of life.
