Staff — Mike Mews

Mike joined the teaching team in 2024. He believes that every young person should have access to high-quality music education, and strives to create engaging musical experiences for singers. Mike has spent most of his life in choirs, joining a children’s choir at the age of 8, and has been singing in choirs ever since, maintaining his standard as a practiced singer in three of Melbourne’s choirs. When he’s not singing or conducting, Mike spends his time as a particle physics researcher hunting for dark matter at the University of Melbourne.
