The Melbourne Youth Chorale is delighted to welcome Nia McMartin as its Patron.
Raised on choir, music and performance, Nia McMartin has long understood the benefits of a musical education to be life-changing – she knows this to be true! She has been a performer since a very early age – and this love of performing, music, singing has carried through her life to this point. Nia is adamant that singing, whether as part of a group, choir, or alone delivers benefits far greater than what we hear in song, including;
- confidence building
- social connectedness
- mental health and well-being
- physical health
A singer-songwriter herself and passionate advocate of the arts especially (singing and song-writing), Nia is thrilled to take a place as part of the team for Melbourne Youth Chorale.
Nia has decades of experience at all levels of government and the not-for-profit sector and contributes broadly in the community in her roles of:
- President, Casey Radio 97.7 FM
- Member of the City of Casey Arts and Cultural Advisory Committee
- Member of the City of Casey Bunjil Place Public Art Fund Committee
