Melbourne Youth Chorale’s Mission is to share the gift of music with children and young people, especially those who are disadvantaged or isolated in their communities. MYC’s high-quality music education program includes both choir rehearsals and a comprehensive musicianship program, systematically teaching the building-blocks of music. We change lives by connecting children and young people with a positive and growth-oriented social community, drawing out their unique potential. We value the growth that comes through embracing diversity in people, cultures and music.

Grant Funding
MYC has a Grants writing team. The team applies for grant funding for additional projects such as marketing, recruiting, concerts, tours etc. The grants available usually do not extend to core operations of the organisation. The grants writing team aims to raise funds to extend the reach of the choir to those living in disadvantaged and marginalised communities. We know that singing in a choir makes a difference for children.
