At MYC we really value diversity. Last week we held a celebration of MYC’s cultural diversity for Harmony
Day, sharing an international meal together. As part of the Cultural Awareness Project funded by Creative Australia, our junior choristers had a special workshop with Manori Wijeratna, teacher of Eastern Music, and presented the song to parents immediately before MYC’s AGM.
MYC’s focus on diversity drew attention from the panelists for the Casey Community Awards and MYC was a finalist in the Equity and Inclusion category.
Caitlyn Bosch & Kerry Alexander attended the awards ceremony and celebrated the great work being done by so many in the community. We met some fabulous people and look forward to continuing those associations into the future.
